After check-out, get driven to the immigration office and obtain your Bhutan travel permit. Then, enjoy a scenic journey to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of your day at leisure. You can head out and explore the Dechen Phodrang Monastery or admire traditional arts at the National Institute for Zorig Chusum. Also, you can wander through the lush Royal Botanical Garden, or soak in the cozy vibe of the Ambient Café, savoring local food.
Check out & get driven to Punakha. En route, pause at the iconic Dochula Pass—known for its 108 memorial chortens. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit Chimi Lhakhang, known as the "Fertility Temple," & continue to the Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses & stroll across the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge, known for its scenic river views. Also, you can opt for a thrilling river rafting experience on the Pho Chhu Mo Chhu river before getting driven to your hotel for check-in.
Today, enjoy a scenic drive to Gangtey, known for its natural beauty. Start with a visit to the Phobjikha Valley, a stunning glacial valley, home to the rare Tibetan black-necked cranes. Next, visit the iconic Gangtey Gompa Monastery and soak-in the views of the Phobjikha Valley. Continue to Wangdiphodrang Dzong, a fortress that stands at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Tang Chhu rivers. Also, admire its stunning Bhutanese architecture before getting transferred to your hotel.
In the morning, check out and get transferred to Paro, passing through charming Bhutanese villages. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and later, enjoy a sightseeing tour. Start with a visit to the Drukgyel Dzong, an iconic fortress offering a glimpse into Bhutan's military past. Next, pay your respects at the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples, dating back to the 7th century. After an amazing day, get transferred to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Set off on a scenic drive to Satsam Chencho Tshongkhang, the starting point of the legendary Tiger’s Nest hike. Once there, trek through pine-scented forests and fluttering prayer flags, with dramatic glimpses of the cliff-perched monastery guiding your way. On arrival, explore its sacred chambers and meditation caves honoring Guru Rinpoche. After descending, return to your hotel, where you can unwind with a traditional hot stone bath or savor Bhutanese cuisine at Park 76 Café & Pub.
After checking out of the hotel, you will be driven to the Bhutan Immigration Office. Complete your formalities and get transferred to Paro International Airport for your journey back home. This marks the end to your amazing Bhutan trip!

Rescheduling Policy for Private (Standard & Deluxe Package) & Group Bookings: 1) If rescheduling is made 7 days after the Booking Date till 15 days prior to the Date of Travel then 30.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as rescheduling fees. 2) If rescheduling is made 0 days to 15 days before the Date of Travel then 100.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. 3) If bookings are made 15 days before the Date of Travel no rescheduling & modifications will be made.
Rescheduling Policy for Private (Super Deluxe) & Hotel Specific Bookings: No modification or Rescheduling will be catered. A standard cancellation policy will be applicable for such cases.
Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseeable circumstances), [Thrillophilia] reserves the right to reschedule Tours & treks or offer alternative itineraries to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
Cancellation After Rescheduling: Clients who reschedule their tours or treks but later decide to cancel will be subject to our standard cancellation policy. Any rescheduling fees paid will be non-refundable.
Kindly carry a valid photo ID proof. All foreign nationals must carry their passport as a proof of identity.
Indians must pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of Rs 1200 per person/per night. Children below 5 years are exempted from SDF, while kids between 6 and 12 years of age, will get 50% concession.
To obtain entry in Bhutan, Indian tourists must carry their passports with a minimum 6 months validity and make the payment of SDF.
Plastic has been banned since 1999 in Bhutan, therefore, it is advised to carry plastic/plastic items.
Keep your arms and legs covered while visiting a Dzong (fortress-monastery).
Ask for permission from the attending authority before taking any photos or videos inside places like monasteries.
In Bhutan, Tuesday is ‘Dry Day’. This means locals don’t drink alcohol on Tuesday. So it would be respectful to avoid alcohol on Tuesdays too.
It’s illegal for tobacco to be sold in Bhutan. Tourists can bring cigarettes into the country, but can only smoke them in designated places.
Bhutan does not have a micro (or nano) SIM card. So check your mobile device for SIM compatibility before visiting Bhutan.
Credit cards are widely accepted in major cities and tourist areas. However, it is recommended to carry some cash.
The official currency in Bhutan is the Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN). It is advisable to exchange currency at banks or authorised exchange bureaus.
